Celebrate Mother’s Day with a sweet and creative baking experience! This special parent-child macaron-making class is the perfect way to spend quality time together while learning to create delicate French macarons.

Under the expert guidance of Chef Jamie, participants will learn how to create perfect French macarons, understanding both the technical and creative processes involved. Throughout the course, we’ll explore the science of ingredients and technique, while also encouraging hands-on participation. Each individual or parent-child pairing will create 24 macarons, including two different fillings: a classic vanilla buttercream and a tangy lemon curd. Participants will have the choice to add colors to their macarons. By the end of the class, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to recreate these delicate cookies at home.

About the Instructor

Chef Jamie is an experienced local baker with a passion for teaching and sharing the art of baking. A graduate of the International Culinary School at The Art Institute of San Francisco, Jamie graduated in 2015 with an Associate of Science degree in Baking and Pastry. For the past three years, she has served as the baking instructor at Lane Community College, where she has inspired countless students to pursue their culinary passions. In July 2024, Jamie launched her business, Jamie Cakes, focusing on custom-tailored events and baking classes.

Cancellation Policy- Any cancellation up to two weeks prior to your event date will be refunded 100%. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations received less than 2 weeks before your event start date, however, you may always send a friend in your place if you’re unable to attend. If a class needs to be canceled due to a natural disaster, public health crisis, or other act of nature that will prevent the class from being safely completed, then the attendee that made the booking is eligible to collect a full refund or credit for a future class at Long Table Farm.
