$175.00

July 26 | 9 AM – 5 PM | Long Table Farm
Includes All Materials + Farm-to-Table Lunch

Join us at Long Table Farm for a full-day basket weaving workshop with the talented Grace of Mossy Elk. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn to weave a lightweight and practical foraging basket, perfect for gathering herbs, mushrooms, or market goods. To complete your creation, you’ll also craft a comfortable leather strap for cross-body or shoulder carrying.

Grace will guide you step by step through the process, teaching essential weaving techniques while allowing room for personal creativity. You’ll have the option to customize your basket with different fiber colors for the rim and decorative accents.

Set in the peaceful surroundings of our farm, this workshop offers a chance to slow down, work with your hands, and connect with a traditional craft. A delicious farm-fresh lunch will be provided, along with time to relax and enjoy the company of fellow makers.

About the Instructor

Grace Holdaway

Grace is a basket weaver, willow grower, and traditional craftswoman based in Eugene, Oregon. With a deep reverence for ancestral skills and natural materials, she weaves baskets that are both functional and artistic, blending time-honored techniques with her own creative touch.

Her work is rooted in the rhythms of the land—she tends to her own willow groves, carefully harvesting and preparing materials for her craft. She finds joy in sharing her knowledge, teaching others the meditative and rewarding process of basket weaving.

When she’s not weaving, Grace spends her days caring for her willows, tending bees, and raising her young son, all while cultivating a life deeply connected to nature. Through her workshops, she hopes to inspire others to slow down, work with their hands, and reconnect with traditional skills.
